RESULTS - 2007 Delaware AIDS Walk a success in all 3 counties!
September 30th - Wilmington
October 7th - Dover
October 7th - Georgetown
More than 7,000 walkers came out to support the 21st annual Delaware AIDS Walk and had a great time for a great cause! This year's Walk was sponsored by the Delaware HIV Consortium and AIDS Delaware and is an example of collaboration at its finest.
This year's events were held on two separate Sundays in two locations. The Wilmington and Dover Walks attracted the most walkers, but the Georgetown Walk was a great success and allowed down staters to have a Walk in their backyards too!
The event grossed $207,000 and was shared among over 40 Delaware AIDS organizations and churches with HIV/AIDS programs and be used to help those infected with HIV/AIDS. Monies will be spend on food, housing and education for clients. All Delawareans will benefit from the Counseling + Testing services and Education + Outreach opportunities we provide. Great job to all who attended! Thank you for your interest in the Delaware AIDS Walk and we look forward to an even more successful event in 2008!
